Personal Project

A little animation experiment I made during my spare time, inspired by the lush tropical greenhouses of Kew Gardens in London.

I wanted to explore the contrast between the delicate, organic shapes of the plants and the geometric structure of the greenhouse. The entire set was painted by hand in watercolour, then animated in After Effects.

I also played with negative space, using the white structure of the greenhouse against a white background to create the feeling of an architectural silhouette floating over the plants.

A small personal experiment to explore watercolour, movement, and the relationship between positive and negative space.
